A monotype and a gum print about the construction and deconstruction of my friend Mr. Potato head.
A selfportrait series I made with ecoline on paper (21 x 29,7 cm). I didn't want to make the classical selfportret image where you had my face and people would criticize whether or not it was a good resemblance of me. So I made a series were I still was the main subject, but without my face showing. I worked with the reflection of mirrors and the strict cut off by the mirror ending.
A selfportret series starting with an old school portret picture. For a school assigment we had to make a selfportret, show it to an big group of fellow students where I simply didn't know anyone from, and give an explanation of your working progress. I didn't like the idea of my face projected on a big screen infront of all those people. So I went searching on how to make a selfportret that is still me but is less narcissistic (If that makes any sens ?). I found an old schoolpicture from when I was a todler and thout that such thing as a school picture is quite impersonal. the school photographer sees hundreds of children infront of his lens but don't know who these children are and probably doesn't care either. I took this as a sort of basic idea of a universal little girl and made other ones with diffrent colour combinations. The title is sort of the only reference to myself because at the time that the schoolpicture was made they found out that I have difficulties with learning mathematics.
